Mine has squealed since the first day of ownership, however we are required to own these machines for the college i attend but sometimes the noise drives me out of my mind. I just kind of get turned off by the fact I have to use a software to adjust a CPU setting (possibly affecting battery life) just to get the computer to operate the way it should've originally especially on $2200 machine.

Is it possible to get them to fix it so it just works out of the box or do all the T730 or even the T731s for that matter have this issue? I purchased the 4 year warranty and accident protection from them and it's been out for repair already because of the squealing and they replaced the mobo and processor but obviously came back with the same issue until I did the above fix (thanks by the way for posting it). Which is nice but I was wondering shouldn't this be fixed by Fujitsu?
